What years trailing arms will interchange?
I'm swapping the rear coil suspension from a 70 lwb 1/2ton into my 68 lwb leaf-sprung 3/4 ton. The trailing arms are badly rusted and I'd like to know what years are interchangable and if there is a difference in the arms between the swb and lwb...
thanks! |

All trailing arms are the same i believe, on the longer wheel base models the trailing arm crossmember is just further back.

I'd look on an online catalog to see if the pre 67 will interchange. I looked in my classic industries, year one and lmc books and didn't find the part numbers to compare.

Actually I have found a set from a 66 3/4ton and they are the same except for the e-brake bracket found on the later versions... And the 3/4ton versions have the extra reinforcement plates to boot.
