Parts out of a 74 blazer
OK guys I need your advice. A friend of mine called yesterday and said he knew a guy thats selling parts off a 74 blazer . He said eng/trans/transfer/front diff for $200.00. I know I can't beat that deal since eng runs & I need a front diff for my 69 4x4 project . Is there anything else I should grab ? I don't think the gas tank will work will it & should I get the filler neck ? Which front hubs are the better ones to have for cross-over steering ? Thanx alot for the help !!

Buckets
Would the buckets be the same as the buckets in a 70-72 truck ? I was looking @ them yesterday & their pretty rough but maybe worth having.

The buckets can be re-skinned with correct seat covers to make them look correct. If they are the low back type.... I can't remember for sure but I think in 74 you could get high back buckets as an option perhaps. The 74 seat brackets however are 1.5 inches higher than the 69-72 type. So the seat will sit that much higher overall.
Console could be either variety in that year,... could have seat belt holders or cup holders... still worth a few bucks regardless there too. But it sounds to good a deal to pass on... I'd buy it.... heck I could always use a spare transfer case and diff if your short $.

74 4x4
Thanx for the advice ! Me & a buddy bought it for $200.00 . He's taking the 350 & trans (TH 350) for $100. I'm getting the Rochester carb, front & rear axles (4:11 , good for some 35" tires I think). I'm also getting the front sway bar, transfer case ( it looks like a np203) plus I'm going to take the buckets and the brake booster w/ the mstr cyl. I couldn't see the proportioning valve though . Did some of them come without that ? I'm going to put the D-44 w/ the disc brakes on my 69 will it work with this mstr cyl & no pro valve ? My take is going to cost me $100.00 . I'm stoked
