Welcome to the board!
A pic would help a lot. Van tilts can go into our trucks, but they look same (for the most part).

Another welcome to the board. Are you looking for restoration or daily driver options? Tilts are nice to have in these trucks.

Your column may be original, but it is a fairly rare option. What you probably have is a tilt out of a 72 to 81 G.M. van. A few mods are needed, but once done, it is hard for the untrained eye to ID it being the wrong column.

Thanks, Longhorn Man, I've never seen the years for the vans to know what to look for. So do they have the ignition switch on the dash also, so it's not on the column like the trucks from those years?
Thanks...SSOW ![]()

Hey thanks
thanks so much for the help. i want to try to get this beater back to where it shows pride of ownership, but it's goin to be daily driver. i'll try to post some photos, the lower bushing on the collom is bad and intermediate shaft is all wallered out. a plate has been welded to the frame, so steering box looks to be at strange angle . like i said i'll get some photos posted . raffterman

Insert sound of hand slapping side of head...
Thanks Frank,
I dug into that thread a few weeks back (even PM'd you), but didn't realize you'd gone and put the "other end" on there, too. Guess that's why there's a "subscribe to thread" feature, huh? ![]() SSOW... ![]()
