Does that have propane on it? I was wondering what all the heater hoses and hoses stuck in the air filter were. Look nice and clean though!

Yes it runs on propane.
I didn't like the look of the IMPCO setup, so I rebuild a big air filter to fit it all in. MY FAVORITE PLACE!!!!The engine compartment, everything vehicle i own is ugly on the outside, but usually pretty or very clean under the hood.MY ugly 69 Primered GMC i drive everyday, never wash it.dont sweep it out often-but the 200,000 probably plus motor and underhood is clean.motor painted, firewall done, inner fenders painted, frame and suspension painted, new belts, hoses,i dont like to get dirty when i remember to check the oil!
Back to the topic looks good under the hood,i didnt even notice propane, when first looked at it,till iread the posts, and went back up and relooked at the pic a little harder!!!!Looks nice man!!! |

By the way i thought id add this-i dont know why-my brain is just functioning differnt or something.
When my wife and i goto car shows, she walks up looks at the side of the car, then the interior,i walk right up and look at the motor, sometimes not even the car, then i walk away,Wife asked how come i didnt look at the car-i said"i just want to see what the owner did.dont know if she understood me or not-she left it alone. But if i see garbage bad ties, electrical twist nuts on the wires,I dont look at the car.if the owner has it sweet under the hood you know they took more time on the rest.Ive seen some sweet Truck,Impalas,Chevelles,Novas with a big block crammed under the dood.coathager piece here, bailing wire there a motor mount welded to frame,I dont usually care to see the rest!!!!And i hate it at car shows when someone showing a $30,000 hotrod, and the hoods closed-its like is there a motor in it or did you push it off the trailer.I seen a beautiful 57 ragtop all original-high 900 point car being, winched up on the trailer-man id have to jump in that thing fire it up and skwak the tires.Hope there was something cool under there!!!probably a no internaled/external restored 283 F.I motor. |

Looks good. I need to get to cleaning up under my hood sometime. Remove all the old grease from my grandpa and great uncles ownerships "eras".
I agree about keeping things neat under the hood. I try to not take "cheap shortcuts" and want EVERYTHING to look nice. Even if no one will ever see it. ------------------ Nick Rodenberg Wellington, MO http://nickrod.port5.com You can click on "My 72 Chevy Truck" I have a 72 Cheyenne 10 with a V8 350 and a TH-350 auto-tranny. Looks pretty good! I painted my engine pay a little while ago, and it looks OK. I have made quite a few shortcuts on the electrical stuff, but it all works pretty good. Whenever i get the money and time to put TBI fuel injection on my truck, i am gonna try to do a really good job on everything. All accessories are coming off, its getting a fesh coat of orange, and i will clean up the engine compartment too. I will to try to stay clear of the twist on connectors too, lol .

I have a question. I have a set of the same M/T valve covers as in the pic, and I was wondering how to set up the oil fill and PCV valve. They have no holes in them right now, but they do have a part that looks like it can be removed to put in a breather or a PCV valve. I was just wondering if anyone has used them, and if I should put them on my truck or get something else.
