I use AC/Delco top of the line "Duraguard" I think it is called, or NAPA which is made by WIX and is supposed to be very good. I think if you have clean oil and change it often it would take very unusual circumstances to have a problem.

Wix filters for sure. After reading this link (the one you're looking for) http://www.frankhunt.com/FRANK/corve...lterstudy.html I changed it fast. I use Delo 400 for oil. The oil is made for diesels and the oil has to be cleaner. I use this combination all the time.

Fram are absurdly bad filters, I don't sell them to anyone unless they demand them. I use NAPA gold because thats the only way I can get WIX filters, although a/c delco's are very good too. In a pinch [read: no time] I use STP, but Im guessing those are re-badged FRAM's.
