Flipping Shock Mounts With Leaf Springs
Has anyone ever heard of doing this? I put 4" dropped leaf springs on mine and noticed how the shocks were leaning. I ground out the rivets, flipped the shock mounts from left to right, and remounted them with bolts. The shocks now hang more straight up. I just finished my rolling frame so I don't know how this will affect the ride or handling. Has anyone else ever done this? BTW my truck is a 1/2 ton, shortbed, fleetside.
Thanks, Bryan |

The only thing I remember reading on here is that you should never have more than a 15 degree angle on your shocks or they will not perform as a shock should. This is only an issue on lowered trucks. Sounds like you solved your problem by moving the mounts.
