New with a seat question
Well I finally talked my uncle out his 1972 CST Blazer a few months ago and have been busy rebuilding the drive train. I was wondering about the front seats. It was purchased from the factory with no rear seat, and instead has the original "third seat" that goes between the front buckets where a console would normally set. Is this a common option in Blazers, or is mine an oddball?

I think yours is an oddball, all blazers/jimmys I've seen have the console bt the buckets. Have seen trucks with the seat your describing though.

Welcome from Canada eH! Sounds odd, you could get just a drivers seat, front seats and utiility buckets but I have never heard of a middle seat, maybe if you sit on the console you could call it a seat.

I'll try and get some pics of the seat uploaded. I do know that my uncle ordered it setup this way. He and his wife used it for towing a comper. I've seen sales flyers where this was an option. The Blazer is very original, and even had the original white steel rims and factory hubcaps when I got it from him - I've since put on a set of Rally wheels. Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome, will enjoy seeing pics of your Blazer. Off topic but you will like this, my grandparents got married and rode off on an Indian - I'll send you the pic if you want to see it.

Sure Yukon, I'd like to see a pic of the Indian. I just finished up a 6 year restoration of my 1941 Indian Chief - which used to belong to my grandfather. Right after finishing it, the opportunity came along to acquire the Blazer, so it looks as if I have yet another project to keep me busy for a while.

Here's the pic of my Grandfather's Indian. 1920 something rings a bell as to the year of the Indian - any idea?

Welcome from Washington... State. To your question I have never seen anything like what you described. I hope you can show some pics of the seat and it would be fun to see the original literature for that option.
From your user ID it sounds like you've got something "rare" under the hood. How about some details on that TPI?
