got a posi...
to start off...
i have a 71 K-10 thats originally had a posi rear as one of the options. somewhere along the line it ended up with an open rear end. then, i broke the open rear end pulling my friend's 80' ramcharger out of a ditch... THEN i got a junky 2wd rear, with open carier and 3.07 gears and cobbled a working rear together from the parts out of the 2wd housing. this was a 75$ patch that i expected to get me by for a few months. it has, 6 months later, it whines and clunks and whatnot...but it works. THEN there was an add in the paper today for a 72 chevy truck posi. i call, he tells me 100$ i was like SOLD (in my mind) i ask about it, so on...he says its in great shape, but its a 2wd. so i tell him i need 4x4 and so on and end up getting it for 75$ and he gave me a free slider rear window. so now i have a complete drum to drum 2wd rear with posi and 3.07 gears, and trailing arms. so i guess its time to swap the guts into my rear end o well it will be nice this winter to have posi. anyone need a 2wd housing and trailing arms? are these worth anything? |

If the trailing arms aren't rusted out they should be worth some money. Most of the original unrestored trucks I have seen around here have severe rust on them.
