I found the front of my 72 4x4 frame cracked. Does anyone have a junk frame that they could cut and get me these parts? I could use the frame ends cut off and I will figure out how to get the parts switched over to my truck.
The pieces needed are the brackets for the core support that also tie into the front spring hangers.
PO also ripped the frame ends but I think I can weld them and repair to original looks.

I have found many trucks to have the front horn of the frame cracked or perhaps purposely split to help alignment of the bumpers to mold with the frame...wouldn't suprise me if it was done on purpose really. I have seen to may not to think otherwise.

As for the rad cradle mounts...those are not suposed to be cracked but I cant help you with that...dont have any.

Hmm are those tow hook holes in the frame from a 72....if they are could you respond if they had them origianally and pehaps its a good pic for me to save to answer question of location holes of tow hooks in 72. Rod

Save yourself alot of time and sweat get a mig weld thr cracks and smooth them out .

Yes those are tow hook holes. I can paper trace them and add measurements if that would help you.
