Floor shifter suggestions
I will be putting in a floor shift for the 700r in the next couple of weeks.
Anybody have suggestions as to brand and type for our trucks? I'm thinking maybe a B&M with the nostalgia lever and a plain boot, shift locations on the ball.I have original '68 bucket seats that I hope won't interfere with the throw. Any thoughts, experience or opinions? Curbie

i'm not a B&m fan i've always thought after use they end up lookin pretty cheezey. for quality and long life you'll be hard pressed to find a better shifter than LOKAR

LOKAR's are the best. We have put them in over 20 trucks with the digital boot and no problems.

If Lokar makes any part I need, I look no further.
There is no finer part made than a Lokar. I have two of their shifters right now. The one in my 54 is a Lokar nostalgia type with the long swan neck. It's beautiful and trouble free for years. By the way, if you've never seen a Lokar up close and personal, they are built so you can install them pretty much anywhere you want them to come through the floor at. Then, you can adjust the angle of the handle to suit you too. Spend the money, you will not be disapointed. Speedway is the cheapest place to get them.
