Cooper tires?

Any body have cooper mud tires? One of my moms coworkers husband can get them for cheep and i need to tires.....So has anybody had good experiences with them?

I've heard Cooper makes a pretty good tire. My only experience with them was some years ago with what they called an "All Steel Radial". It had steel belts but also the radial plies were steel. They looked like a decent traction tire, and they lasted forever, but had no traction off road. I stuck my F350 (company truck) on damp grass on a nearly level surface, and had to be towed - and that's with 4WD!

There good tires for the money. Might also look into Toyo Or Buckshot Radial Mudders

I used to run some coopers in Discover M/T In 265/7516 They didnt do too bad in the mud Only time they wouldnt pull is if i went through a massive rut.

I ran a set of Coopers in a few years back when I drove from Lake Charles (LA) to Dallas on the 4th of July. The heat build-up produced huge bubbles in between the side walls, I'm lucky they didn't blow out on me. Personally, I'll never buy them no matter how cheap they sell for.

I put over 20,000 miles on a set of all terrains on my Z71 and never had a single problem....

Don't have direct experience with Cooper truck tires but have not had a good experience with Cooper car tires. We have had to replace a couple on my wife's Toyota Avalon due to tread separation. They were good about the warranty but I still don't like to have it happen. I won't buy Cooper again.

I ran a set of Cooper Discoverer/LT 33x12.50-16.5s down to where there was no more and I cannot recall any problems. I was going to buy more, but the dealer didnt stock the 35s (only 33s ) so I have Generals instead ! The Coopers lived a while too !

I put a set of Cooper Discoverer 8.50 X 16.5 On my 72 C20.
Tires held up well, did good on dry pavement and in the snow but not too good on wet pavement.
They were a huge improvement over the bias 4-plys that were on the truck when I bought it.

I have run mudders on a Bronco II 225/75/15 and 32-11.50s on a K5 Blazer. The 32s were VERY LOUD. I liked the way they worked off road, but did not like the noise level. Had to shout to be heard at highway speeds. The ones on the Bronco II were not that bad. I have also had a set of Coopers (Lifeliners) on my wifes Lumina and I really liked the way they performed. Great wet weather and winter driving tire and I got almost 70,000 miles out that set. When they wore out I replaced them with a second set of Coopers. Goodyear Eagles came as original equipment with that car and the wife and I both disliked them. No good in winter/wet conditions and only got about 40,000 miles out of that set. I will buy Coopers again when I need new tires, but I won't buy mudders for a daily driver again.

Had a set of 33 12.5 16.5 cooper discoverer LT half tread left on the back of my 69 3/4 weldind truck with about 1500lbs all the time. Let it sit for about 6mths and started driving it pretty steady agian. Pealed the tread off the pass side that flattened the undersideof the bed from the tire to the bumper and the other seperated within the week.
But on a good note on my 98 silverado 4x4 1/2ton on my 2nd set of cooper ATs E rated 265 75 16 pull 26ft trailer. First set had 58000 on them with probbly 5 to 10000 left, but wasnt willing to keep on them pulling my trailer. Good on snow dont know abut mud. thanks new to posts mike
