I have a question on a SM465 tranny
Hey guys, I am still very new to this. I have a SM465 tranny that is set up for a 4X2. I want to see if I can make it work on a 4X4. Can somebody please help me and tell me if this is a lot of work or also is it going to cost my house to do so? I have a NP203 transfer case. Thanks a lot, Jeff

you can do it but it will be costly . the mainshaft would have to be changed and you have to find a 203 tcase with 32 splines and would need the adapter. they are hard to find nowadays . best thing to do it find some one who has a combo for sale. i just bought a 465 and 241 combo for 600.

465 and 205 TC
I have a 465 and 205 transfer case from a 77-78. Its available, but shipping might be pricey. Motor Freight might be a possibility, strap it to a standard pallet, and or crate it. Asking $375 for the combo. You might be able to find one locally, and you will need the crossmembers etc from a donor.
