How low can I go?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was just wondering if anyone has any pics of 67-72 longbox that has been lowered as far as it can go... even if it has a c-notch. I own a 1970 custom 10 longbox and i want to lower it. i just want to know what it will look like first so i can decide if i should just do a c-notch or go all out and get a step notch. any help would be appreciated I also have some pics but I can't seem to post them.. if someone could give me some help on that too??? |

Thanks for welcoming me to the site. And that is a sweet picture of the 72. Is is body dropped or step notched? i don't want to do a body drop on my truck and i don't want to raise the bed floor because i want it to look mostly original

Early Classic Enterprises has springs and spindles that will let you lower it a total of 3.5 inches in front and 6 inches in the back, without modifying the bed or the frame. When you're done, you can still pull a trailer or haul a load in the bed, and it will be very driveable. I only dropped my SWB 2.5 inches in the front and 4 inches in the back. If I had it to do over, I'd have gone one more inch lower in the front, but in my town, I'd be in trouble due to the condition of some of the streets.
Oh, welcome from Central Arkansas. Woo-Pig-Sooey!!!

I know i'm going to have to cut into the frame of my truck. I have no problems with that. The thing I don't really want to do but might have to is a step notch. The front of the truck I'm not worried about at all. I just want the back of the truck to sit level with the front when it is aired out. I think the only way I can acheive that stance is to do a C-notch or a step notch. I want to put the wood floor back in it so i don't want to have to raise the bed floor.

I want to go about 4 more inches. That is just a pic of it with the springs out and the bump stops holding the axle... If i had the bump stops out of it I think I would get another inch or 1.5"
