Well the time has come to get the rusty metal cut out of the cab. I am going to be working on the drivers side. From what I can see the outer rocker panel, kick panel and a 6 inch long / 1 - 1.5 inch wide piece of the floor will need to be cut out and replaced. From what I can see of the inner rockers back side it looks ok but it could be terrible on the other side and I wont really know until I get the outer rocker off. I have the repair panels already and would like to make sure that I am going in the right order. Any tips on this would be greatly appreciated. I will be using a 3 inch cutting wheel and a mig to weld the pieces back in.

All I can say is from what I've heard ebfabmans cds are a huge help in cab welding! I'm not touching mine until I get a set from him. Keep us posted whichever route you take, good luck and have fun!

I'm in the same boat....needing to replace frt.cab mounts. patch the floors a bit, replace the rockers (inner and outer), and the bottoms of both kick panels. The cab corners were replaced once before I got the truck, and not the best job either (not butt welded, but overlapped) so I might as well do them again too.

I received the ebfabman DVD set a couple of weeks ago and have watched them all the way through. I think it was money well spent and will save me a ton of time in 'figuring out' and 'do overs'. What really got me was that the replacement work was all done with the cab still on the truck.

I bought the videos and they have been a great help. Plus I live near ebfabman and he offered to drop by if I get in trouble. So far things are going real well. Just taking my time and being careful. The videos are a huge help to me. This is my first time doing this type of work and with the videos as a guide, its going well.

your stuff looks good! Does the floor board patch include part ot the kick panel and inner rocker or did you have to put all those pieces together. I have started on allot of the same stuff

They are all seperate pieces... floor pan has the innner rocker, then kick panel, a pilar and outer rocker are all seperate.

Got to agree with the other posters. EBFABMAN is the way to go. I got the DVDs and have watched them start to finish. Take a portable DVD player to the shop with you and go step by step with him. He shows you in what order to repair the various panels and even goes so far as to show a couple of places where you have to work two panels back and forth at the same time. In the end, he doesn't even need bondo.
Purchasing those DVDs has kept me from cutting up stuff that doesn't need to be cut and stuff that shouldn't be cut. That equates to dollars I have saved by not screwing up and having to pay out money to fix a problem I caused.

The floor one was $35 locally. It goes all the way to the tranny tunnel. I only used what I needed of it.
