Leaf spring help!!!!
I recently purchased a 1969 C-30 wrecker. Being a one ton it has rear leaf springs. Several of these are broke. Does anybody have a line on getting a new set? I wouldn't mind putting a few extra leafs in there to help the towing ability. Any suggestions? Thanks guys!!

You should be able to get some made locally at a truck spring shop. Look in the phone book under truck repair, springs, frame repair, etc. Usually these guys love working on parts for older vehicles, and the prices are reasonable.

Fred is right-on. Truck spring repair places are usually super to deal with. They can make up any spring combination cheeper than you can buy new on any internet board.
While you are at it, you can probably get them to do the job which is also usually a bargin given the tools required and the heft to loosen/cut old rusted spring bolts etc. |

I just got a set from this place for my Longhorn. $100 a side plus shipping. U-bolts were very reasonable as well.
