Stepside Tailgate Options?

Anybody done anything different besides the tailgate chains. Something besides the kits they sell that couldn't hold up a medium size guy.

Thanks,

I kinda like the look of www.WOW-products.com item TFK-S. It's a prop rod system.

The problem with the WOW products is that I've heard they don't hold that much weight. I'm wondering if there is something somebody used off a newer model chevy that worked.
