Straightening and Recroming a Bumper

Hey i have seen places that straighten and rechrome a bumper. Anyone done this? how much was it?

I did both of mine about three years ago here in Austin. It cost less than $300 to do both of them. The front was bent to heck, I couldn't honestly believe the job they did.

most people on this site will tell you that it is cheaper to just replace them verses rechrome. prices are around $120 each.

I don't fall for the easy way out and buy an aftermarket if I have a GM core.

An original GM bumper is much better than even the best aftermarket one available.

Here, it's about 150 to 175 to repair and straighten and rechrome a bumper. That includes some welding if required. You'll be suprised what they can fix and make it look new.

i wanna do what i saw on trucks and take the bumper bolts weld them on and have the outside perfectly smooth and the bolts now be like studs on the inside

The repro quality of new bumpers is not up to GM standards? I will have to keep that in mind...
