You might want to check with Friendly Chevrolet in Fridley MN, I think you can get it thru them for a little less...and quicker too.

Any Chevrolet dealer that is a "Performance Parts dealer has them in stock. The dealer here in the vast plains of kansas has a whole warehouse of motors from the basic to the 502 monster. A local dealer may be able to get the price right, when you consider shipping to your doorstep on top of an order.

I checked with a few of the local dealerships in the area. they all seem to be alot more expensive for the same thing. I still don't understand why though. there all coming from the same place. I guess the dealship wants a bigger cut of the cash pie. The closest the dealership could come was a rebuilt AC delco for $1700. And that only came with a 12 month 12k warranty. this comes with a 3 year warranty.
Now all I have to do is figure out what to do with this one I just took out. Its could be a good engine if it was rebuilt. I just don't have the $$$ now.

I bought a BRAND NEW 350 motor for my son's truck (under the performance parts replacement) from my local dealer for $1100.00 a couple years ago. That same motor is now approximately $1500.00 across the parts counter. That motor is NOT a rebuilt, but a new direct replacement. Summit comes in cheaper because they buy a large amount of them and sell them at a price that scares the dealers. The shipping is a major factor in this, as well as delivery is from a semi truck and you have to be able to get it off of the truck. Look at the website for "Scoggin Dickey" Chevrolet out of Texas. They have prices that are competitive with Summit. Also look at "Pace Performance" for prices.
