Arrow Update on uh...stuff

Hey all.....

Geez it's been a long time since I've been on the boards. Life has been crazy over the last month.
I just wanted to fill everyone in on what's going on in my life. For the last month, my husband and I have been separated. Our daughter and I moved out and stayed with a friend until he could move into an apartment. He just moved out over the weekend and we moved back into the house Sunday.

We've been having serious problems for the past 3 years and it finally became more than I could handle. I stayed for our daughter, but we finally realized that she was better off with 2 happy families instead of one miserable family. Once I moved out we got along much better and could actually be friends, but there was nothing else there for either of us. So we've decided to go forward with a divorce. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted of my shoulders. My husband is happy with his new life and our daughter is handling everything very well.

For those of you who were interested in the LED light set....Now that I'm back home and have my workbench I can get back to work on them. I have all the supplies now...(that took forever)...so I'm ready to move forward with them for those who PM'd me. I'm really sorry for the delay and hopefully life will get back to some sort of norm now so I can work on this project as well as all the others I have.

I have been having a chance to enjoy myself through all of this....I've taken my truck out twice since our first big rain and got really muddy....got momentarily detained on the first run. I took my daughter out on the second run and let her play in the mud too. She's going to be a chevychic too someday...

I might go out again this weekend or sneak away early from work...it's become an addiction

Heather

Heather,
So sorry to hear about your marriage.
Although I do understand how everyone can be better off and that includes the children.
Enjoy your time alone with your daughter, she needs you as much as you need her right now.
The key is that the children are not used as pawns in the separation.
I'm sure you have a handle on this though.
Take some time to gather yourself and your thoughts together then find yourself a good chevyman.
I happen to know a bulletin board where there are quite a few

Take care,

Denny

Sorry to hear about your marriage Heather...but it sounds like you both have made the right decision and are OK with it, that is good.

Glad you are back on the board, your positive attitude and cheerfullness was missed.

Sorry to hear about that too.
I thought it was bad on relationships 25 years ago but now!
I would rather rebuild a power station turbine with a screwdriver than date.

Good luck to you and your daughter.

Separation and divorce is a very tough thing to go through. I've been there, done that. What will be real hard for you to believe is how you once loved him so much and now can't stand the ground he walks on, as far as relationship things go. I'm a firm believer is things happening for a reason. A lot of times I see people say, "why is all this happening to me?" There is a good reason and it probably won't become apparent until much later.

Hang tough and keep your head on straight. I know you are a strong willed person and will come through all this just fine.

Good luck Heather! It always seems worse WHILE you are dealing with it. Someday soon you will be thinking to yourself, "Why didnt I just do this a long time ago?". Its also good to hear that you have a positive attitude about it. That alone will help you and your daughter get through it much easier. I still need to order a set of white gauge faces soon...corn

Sorry to hear about the sad news about your personal relationship Heather. I hope good things will happen for you and your daughter. I hear this to many times in my circle of friends. Don't fall for the first guy that shows up, take your time and go easy for awhile and let things settle down. Too many ladies that I know rush into new relationships too soon afterwards all to find themselves in the same situation again.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes, good thoughts, prayers, and overall support.

I'm all too familiar with rushing into a new relationship...that's what happened to the one I'm coming out of. There were a million little warning bells and voices that I didn't listen to. I've learned a lot from this and am a very strong believer that everything happens for a reason.

The next relationship is going to be built on a solid foundation over a long period of time. I've been hurt badly twice now both from the same issue by different men so I have some trust issues to get past. The next go around is going to need to be built over time on honesty, integrity and trust instead of the feeling at that moment.

And of course this time he's going to have to be a truck guy that doesn't mind hard work and getting dirty whether it be mud or grease

Sorry to hear about the break up Heather. I was in the same boat as you are just earlier this year. I was upset but later realized we were both unhappy and no so much better off. Besides I got a better life without her and with the new woman in my life. If you ever want to chat let me know. I'll be happy to chat with you anytime about trucks, relationships, etc. You've helped me out in the past and would love to repay the favor.
