electric choke hook up
I have had my electric choke on my Qjet hooked up direct to the UNFUSED spot on the fuse box , but it doesn't seem to make a difference in the way the truck runs. Can anyone fill me in on if this is the proper way to do it?

it should work if you plug it in the unfused port....
mines plugged in off of the wire coming out of the engine warness harness that is not hooked up to nething

what they said. & when you are unfused & ign powered, then you gotta play with the setting by loosening those 3 screws on the coverplate & turning it until it (the choke)stays on just long enough.

If you have an HEI distributor can't you just use the "batt" wire to the HEI?
I should only be on when the key is on.

Well, there is a few others in there too, and at least one is hot all the time.
The cigar lighter terminal will always be hot... I THINK the one under the fuel guage is for the glove box light (at least off that fuse) which i would imagine is hot all the time too, but I am not sure and there is no truck here for me to look at.  |
