hood won't pop up
The hood on my recently acquired 72 C-10 won't pop up. With the latch released, it's tough to get the hood started up, even by hand. I tried to lube all the rustly looking pivots on the hinges but it didn't change much. I'm wondering if an adjustment will help this, or if the hinges are shot?
Thanks. |

Lube everything again and adjust the latch. That should get you going pretty well.

I have the same problem with my 79. Hood will pop up but won't completely disengage. I really, REALLY, have to squeeze that latch handle hard. It's gonna give me arthritis.

Welcome to the board from West Michigan! Make sure that when the hood is shut that there is pressure on the hood from the hood bumpers. Jim |

Welcome to the board.
Weak hood springs will also cause this problem. |
