I would think that one would be fine but as cheap as they are??? Go roller or a solid cam to boost the power!!

Depending on what all happened (damaged) you may need to replace the cam also.

in my experience- its unlikely that you'll be as lucky as to just have to replace a lifter.. if it is the case- you can buy a single lifter at any machine shop, should only be a few bucks. I wouldnt replace any of the others if they're fine. It will just make the chance of wiping out a cam lobe that much better. Replace the one thats bad and break it in and make sure all the other lifters get put back on their appropriate lobe during reassembly.

I doubt he would ever manage to set a solid cam ..
Possibilty you can get away with putting in one lifter you should be able to buy them individually But like stated the cam could be damaged |

what made you think you collapsed a lifter and not wiped a cam lobe? what kind of diagnostics have you done so far? stop asking questions and go pull the intake and find out, lol

Hey Eric.....ever hear of LIFTING off the gas when you start spinning/? lol When you start spinning there is no reason to even keep trying to get a good # cause its just not gonna happen if your midway through 2nd or 3rd and still spinning. just let off and save your truck parts from the damage that has been done already. Patience grasshoppah.

i took off the valve cover, and actually the retaining nut to a rocker arm had come off, i have no clue how either. the pushrod was in the place it was supposed to be but it was very very far down in there. i took a flashlight and saw a lifter on one side, but the other lifter looked like it was missing. |

Lifter missing as in you saw an open lifter hole? Thats frightening, because lifters dong go that far down in the holes before they touch the cam...

sounds like you just lost the rocker arm nut, then it slung the push rod and lifter out of the hole. no big deal really.
