4 way flasher question?
I noticed this the other day while in a funeral procession...
when i have the 4 way flashers on and hit the brakes, the flashers stop flashing...it took me a while to figure out that was what was happening So, is it supposed to do like that since its the same bulb for the brake and flashers or is something messed up? -Nick

The people behind you will appreciate it if you leave the 4-way flashers off while you're driving down the road. When you put on your brakes, they don't know it's not just another flash until it stays on, then their brain has to figure out that it's not another flash, & by then they might hit you. 4-ways should NEVER be used when you're under way.
In a funeral, turn on your headlights (on dim, thank you), and understand that other drivers who are not in the procession may be unconscious & not recognize there's a funeral procession until it's too late. Around here, they're bad about not having enough police escorting funeral processions, and not every intersection has a cop car to let people know that the green light they see has been temporarily suspended. |

When you hit the brakes with the 4 way flasher on, the brakes light up and stop flashing. Cops escorting a funeral processions? Not in California. I've never seen a funeral that was let through the town unhindered. That's CA for you.
