Wanted: Edelbrock 1406 Carb, Comp Cams 280h Cam/lifters, Weiand or Edelbrock intake

Weiand STEALTH intake or Edelbrock Performer RPM intake

hey i got a comp 280 magnum in my engine that im tearing apart right nowit has less than 5 thousand miles on it let me take it out and get the numbers off of it to verify first because the guy that had the truck before me put it in

12-212-2 it looks in great condition and the lifters look new i have them seperated how they were in the engine in case you use them they will be on the same lobes lemme know if you need pics i'll ship it to you for $60

That doesn't matter it was run in a different engine. Using used cams isn't that good of an idea. Reusing lifters its a big no no in a different engine that in was broke in on. That cam and lifter set is matched to the engine it was broke in on. The wear pattern will be different in your engine there's no to that will wear the same.

I'm not trying to kill your deal just saying what is commonly known.

As long as you keep each lifter on the same cam lobe it was on before you shouldn't have any problems.
They don't wear a pattern to the block because they spin in the bore as they work up and down.

In your case I would get the cam if you want it and buy a new lifter set then break in the cam. Thats the best bet I see to come of it.

Have you also thought about the things the a bigger camshaft like that will need? Pushrods, valve springs, and things like that?

I just went and checked, mine's a 1405 too. Same as 1406 but with a manual choke.
I'd take $100 + sh for it.
