wtb/t Transmission

i am looking for an overdrive tranny for a 1992 GMC 1500 4X4 ext. cab shortbed. I am mainly looking for a 700R4 but would also consider everything needed to switch over to a 5 speed. I don't have a lot of funds but am willing to trade my turbo 350 or some 1984 toyota 4X4 parts for one.

My zip is 41051 for a shipping quote. I am definitaly interested. Did it shift fine before it was removed? Is it a 2WD or 4WD tranny?

i need a 4WD tranny. can you make a 2wd work? If you can, how much work would it be? I can do it if it can be done but do not want a lot of downtime with my truck.

i don't have pics. i am trying to replace a TH350 with an overdrive. I know the 4x4 version has a shorter tail shaft and bolt holes to but up to the t-case. I dont know if a 2wd will work by just changing tail shafts or if you have to do more.

Yea the 2wd version will work if you change the output shaft but the output shaft is almost the last thing to come out of the trans case. = Complete trans disassembly. Easier to find a 4x4 version to begin with.

Jonesy, I have a factory tranny out of one of those. I have some interest in it, but would you be interested. I want 350 for it firm. Its got an almost new clutch with it and its a nv3500 out of a 94 gmc 1/2 ton 4x4. Its in good shape. I can ship out of salt lake. Its quite light compared to some trannies. Let me know. JT

It shows to be about 60$ via fedex to a business. Can you have it shipped to one? JT

The only problem is i don't have all the parts (pedal, master cylinder, slave cylinder,.....) to switch over to a stick. I am still in high school and have VERY limited fund due to my burger flippin job. I would love to go to a stick but would need pretty much a whole doner truck to do so.
