Another firewall hole, what is it?
Getting my 69 back together, and had the son out to help with making a patch for a rectangular hole below the column. He asked what it was for, I said I would ask if he took a picture. So, what's it for?

Thats where the e-brake cable goes thru. Not sure if you use this same hole for the foot-pedal e-brake, but for the hand pull, this is where it goes thru. There is a rubber grommet that fits in the hole, with the cable going thru that. Hope this helps!!

The ebrake cable on a 69 should be closer to the fender. It is on mine. I can't remember how it is on a 67-68 cab.

Should be the ebrake cable. Uses a rectangular grommet that never lasts very long.

Interesting. My cab is a 69 and has both holes. Wonder if it has something to do with the truck coming from Oklahoma!
