cab mount bushings

For a long time I thought the bed on my 79 was tweaked to one side after the rear wheel fell off and got jammed up in there. Anyways my cab always looked like it was leaning in the back drivers side, or else the bed was bent the other way. I finally got a nice new bed thats perfect on, and its still leaning. So I just got some polyurathane cab bushings. Any advice before I start? I've heard this isen't too difficult, but not from anyone who actually owns one of our trucks

with my gutted cab, and no cab mount bolts in it at all, it was a bear to get them all to line up right. i would imagine if you did it one side at a time, you wouldnt have any problems.

Tom,
Shouldn't be a problem for ya at all. Just do one side at a time.

Have you considered the ride quality of poly vs. stock rubber or black graphite impregnated. The poly is good for A-arm bushings, etc. in my opinion, but poly may be a little harsh for a cab mount. Just a thought.

This truck rides hard as it is, I don't think I'll notice the difference Besides, Im worried more about life span, not ride comfort.

O/K. Then could I suggest you coat the bushings with a Waterproof Marine grease. That stuff will stick to the poly and avoid squeaks.

Tom,
I recently put the Energy Suspension Cab Mount Kit on my truck. It took about half an hour. The hardest part, was the core support bolts, mostly because all the crud that had built up on the bolt heads.
