Molded rubber, polyvinyl or carpet???
Im in the process of restoring my truck and am thinking of installing molded rubber instead of carpet. I just think that it would be easier to clean and last longer. My only concern is that if moisture gets under the carpet it will rust the metal in no time. With carpet moisture would evaporate a lot quicker and not cause too much damage. What do you guys recommend. Post some pics if you have them, Thanks.

Moisture under carpet will rust it badly, rust is usually worse in a carpeted vehicle than 1 that came with rubber from factory even though it has been hosed out a million times. I personally am going to strip and clean my bare floor and coat it with duraliner
and then install rubber or similar on top of it. Havn't really decided between rubber or polyvinyl yet as I can't really afford either right now- it is not at the top of the list yet.

I would rip out the old carpet and put a duralinner/rust perventor under the carpet. I would also coat the bottom of the cab. Thats my plan on my truck.
