Idle screws on a 2 barrel

Well ever since we did the timing set, the carburetor's idle has been WAAAYY high. I know my couisn f'ed with the screw that is on top(?) that you can only get to with the air cleaner off. The other one that is on the throttle is prob wachk too. I know the timing is right (around 8 or 9 BTDC) at the right RPM idle.
It idles about where it should in drive, but when in park or neutral (when its on the high idle screw) its waaay TOO HIGH. As in, if you cut it off without bumping the throttle to get it off that high idle, it knocks LIKE A BEAST from being revved soo high, and the moment turns it over a few more times. Yeah, i know, major looseness of the motor. What ya expect, its got somewheres around 160G, the supposed end of the life of a 305.
So if i play with that screw on top (?) of the carburetor, can i get the high idle to be lower, and the idle in gear to be about the same?
This is the OE Rochester DualJet 2 barrel on my 1980 305.
thanks guys

There are two options that I see from my exploded view of a dualjet. You have the fast idle screw on the right side which contacts the fast idle cam during warm up. On the left side you have idle stop screw near the idle speed solenoid.
