I am looking at a 454 for sale out of an 86 truck, when was FI introduced? 87? I have a 350 out of an 87 Jimmy that has TBI. Couldn't easily find a history of when FI was introduced... Thanks very much!

well the corvette i will own came with fuel injection, in 1957

it was mechanical, but still

it was 87' in our trucks though

Didnt the desoto in 57 have a vacuum tube driven fuel inj setup?

first corvettes had fuel injected 327s if im not mistaken but they were expensive as heck

ahhhhhh didnt read that very good obviously he said ELECTRONIC fuel injection and werent the 87 tbi throttle body injection the vettes and all that good stuff wasnt electronic
