That is correct. If you see a 4 door short box its a custom.

1/2 ton crew cab swb

Im in the process of building a 87 silverado that was a 3/4 ton single wheel axle crew cab, its allready had the 1/2 ton suspension put under it, shortened the frame 14" behind the cab. its going to have a 88 350 with tpi and 700r4, 93 gran prix quad bucket seats, 2000 chevy trk center and overhead console, rear veiw mirror with temp/compass, and the color will be radar blue(looks purple then changes to blue in the sun)96 s-10 color with tan interior. will post pics as soon as i can make them smaller.

cool! I'm all for the 37s myself. I would really like a crew cab 3+3 shorty 4x4 with one ton single rear wheels... The Gran Prix seats sounds like a really plush interior, that will be awesome. Got any pics?

That one's alot little prettier than mine! Probably custom-built at specialty shop... not hacked together by a logging company

I came a cross a 84-87 4x4 shortbox the ther day, I want one. About 8 months ago there was a custom one advertised locally in the truck trader, an 87 he wanted $7000 for it. Then shortly thereafter we came across another at a bodyshop, they had just finished shortning the frame and adding the shortbox, this is really beginning to catch on.
