2 1/2 + 1 = 3 1/2?

I'm getting set to drop my 3/4 69 GMC LWB, changing to 1/2 ton 5 lug suspension.

I have 4 inch drop coils for the back and 2 1/2 drop spindles for the front.

Should I add 1" drop coils in front and would that combination give me a total of 3 1/2? I want to level it out.

Anyone have pictures of this stace?

Thanks,

Aitch

in theory, that will give you 3 1/2" drop, but in real life, your front springs may have a little sag in them. these trucks stand a little higher @ the rear, so if you like a level stance, i would try the 4" rear, & just swap the spindles up front.......I think you will be pretty close. one thing on the springs tho....if you want 1" more drop, you may look at a 1 1/2, or 2" drop spring, as the factory pcs are bound to have a little sag. best of luck,69L

69L, I suspected that the numbers did not necessarily add up. That's good information. I'll probably hold off on the front drop coils until I get a look at the stance with the 2 1/2 - 4 drop.
Thanks, aitch
