Buying this truck? but need answers

Hey all, been a while, looking at buying this 1971 and have a couple of questions as to the possibility of the frame being tweeked. I have tried to increase the size of photo but can't come up with answers and the owner doesn't know if it may be bent. Also can anyone see any rust issues by the photos, I can't get a good look with my computer at the rockers? And one last question, does the cab have a/c or am I just seeing blotches with my computer?? Thanks for any info that you all can provide.. Ride with pride.. Dan

looks like its an A/C cab to me.. look above the radio. and on the drivers side you see holes or something in those places.. can see the pass side tho. those pictures are way to small to tell if the rockers need work.. but the pass side front fender looks like it may need work on the two bottoms sections. but who knows.

I used Irfanview and was able to just use the magnifier to get a better look. There defitely is a hole on the drivers side for a AC vent. From what I could tell the rockers don't look bad.The right front fender needs changed, but looks like it may have been swapped after the accident.
I think I would ask for larger pics, and some underneath shots before I made a long trip. Some shots of the front framehorns and crossmember area for sure.

It LOOKS like a nice truck. Need some frame pics to be sure Best thing to do is to see it and drive it, even if it is 5oo miles away. Cool find. good luck

Condensor is missing. So expect that the owner removed part of the A/C system or swapped and A/C cab onto the frame. May be easy to fix, though A/C parts can add up quick.

What's the story behind the frame possibly being tweeked? The body alignment seems fine in the pics, not that I could notice finer details.

Front bumper looks a little "tweeked" to me. Looks like it's pretty tight on the pass side and kind of out on the drivers side ( front view photo). weather that's just the bumper is pretty hard to tell from the photo? The gap between hood & fender - hood & cowel looks a little wide on the drivers side too but might just need some adjustment. Hard to kick the tires on a computer?

I don't think so. I bet it's just missing the body mount cushion on the passenger side of the radiator support which is causing it to sag. BTDT. When I first got my truck the chassis was slightly bent. I took it to a frame shop, and they straightened it for $250. If the frame is bent a little it can be fixed pretty easily. Looks like a nice truck. Go for it!

Thanks for all the info, was afraid the frame could have been bent from the accident but the owner states it looks straight with possibly the rad support being slightly damaged. Not serious enough to stop me from buying at a good price that has been passed to me so road trip it is.

Try to get accident damage pics. Since you'll be driving, bring a creeper and a worklight or strong flashlight so you can look at that frame closely. You'll have your jack with you so you might as well bring two jackstands to really get a good look at that frame. Look for stretched-out-of-shape factory frame holes, a tell-tale sign of frame straightening. Also look for whether a section of frame has been painted without the rest being touched, as in to cover frame-straightening efforts. Of course, if you plan to do a frame off, replacement frames are cheap. Another excuse for a road trip?
