Need some opinions (4) 15x10 vs (2) 15x10

I am in the market for some wheels for my 75 stepper. I have not gotten this truck together yet but will be soon. there is currently 4 15x10 old american racing white wagon wheel rims on it right now. I am putting American Racing BAJA wheels on. the rear tires will be 295/ 50 r15 will the same be good for the front or should I go with 245/60 r15 in which case i think i will need 15x8 wheels for the front. This truck is standard suspension no lift or lower.

MY $.02 is the 15x10 is too much for the front. If your planning on different tires front and rear anyways, I'd do the 15x8 up front. Again my $.02 is the 245/60 may not be rated to handle the weight of the truck's front end.

my plan for wheels on my '75 stepside is 15x10 in the rear and 15x8 in the front. and i also plan on using Dunlop's GT qualifier's - 295/50/15 in the rear and 235/60/15 in the front.

My truck too came w/ 15x10's all around... i was told by a tire guy that especially in a 2wd, that width of rim in the front will put considerable strain and increased wear on the front wheel bearings... just my $.02

I ran 15x10 with 275x60 all around on mine for over 2 yrs. I never had any wheel bearing problems or anything. The only problem I had was after the 2.5" drop they rubbed the fenders when I hit a bump. I'm running 15x8 with a 255/60/ up front now.

The down side to this is no rotation so you have to keep a careful eye on your alignment and tire pressure to get good life outta the fronts.
