2wd to 4wd, are the rubber body mounts the same
I have a set of new rubber body mounts for a 4x4 truck, will these fit a 2wd truck, I am asking because in all of the catologs, they show a different part number for the 4x4's, thanks for your time, Brad

If you're talking about a 1/2 ton 2wd, the rear cab mounts are different. The rest of them are the same.
The 3/4 tons, 1 tons, and 4x4's used a real tall rear cab mount. Half ton 2wd's used a much shorter rear cab mount.

I have a 1970 3/4 ton and I was woundering what would happen if I used a 1/2ton rear mount instead of a 3/4 ton. I know it will lower it in the rear of the cab but will the bed still line up? I dont think so but i thought I should ask. Thanks

DTerry,
The 3/4 ton mounts, (same as the 4x4 1/2 ton) are quite a bit thicker. I believe they are about 3 1/2" compared to the 1/2 ton 2 wd which is about 1". The rear of your cab will not line up with the bed and it will be setting on the frame. Jim |
