Drilling front X member
Ok, my bags are going in today. Im currently drilling the crap out of the front X member for the upper plates. Ive been using my drill + jack to get the dang holes done. BUT IT TAKES FOREVER. Granted it IS about 1/3" thick stuff im going through. Im using a Colbalt bit and all, any tips on how others did it?

DRILL A 1/8 INCH HOLE FIRST. DANG MY CAP LOCK IS ON. once you drill thru than go to a bigger bit. Matt

yeah, im gonna have to do that method tommorow, I killed a unibit today
BUT I HAVE ONE SIDE BAGGED AND BOY DO I GET LIFT! I dont lay out due to the fenders though. Its quite funny lookin having one side low as hell and the other still static.

I echo what ureckme said. Start with a smaller bit and step your way up. Use cutting fluid, too. It'll really help. (If you put too much pressure while drilling, you may damage the bits.) Good luck.
