Driveshaft Lengths
I thought I posted this once,but couldn't find it,so here goes.
I am switching to an automatic in a few weeks. Now will the driveshaft from my 4 speed work with a short shaft 350 turbo if I put the yoke on it? Also I have a longshaft 350,is this better than the shorty?I am going to have one rebuilt, and I have a long and short tranny. Is it worth having a shaft made to use the long shaft?

IF your current shaft won't fit with either TH350, and you have a short and a long in comparable condition, I would opt for the long shaft myself.
While it isn't correct, it'll be easier to get a replacement tranny later since short shafts are getting harder and harder to get, plus, a few inches makes a huge differance when tryin to do a one piece shaft. |

I'd go with the long tailshaft because thats what they had . Drive shafts should be
as common as dirt and about as cheap. Just advertise here for one and see what comes up. J Y |

So if I go with the shorty, the driveline from my 4 gear will be the same length once I put a yoke on it?
