Wiring Question 101....HELP
Ok.this is my stubby rear tail light wiring harness from the flat-bed dually...........Had a bunch of tangled wires when I got it...Am a little stumped..Yes I can probably look at the manual but maybe some-one can just give me some simple instructions..Thanks..........Black and brown wires are hot...Then there is the yellow,green,and light green..I got the tail lights to work and the brake lights but not the turn signals???Thanks in advance for any advice............

OK.............I may have spoken to soon..What if both turn signals are flashing ?????????Must have one wire in wrong location????????

Well according to the schematic
-one brown to each turn siganl. -Dark green to the passenger light. -yellow to the drivers light. -light green goes to the reverse lights. Most likely the brown is power with the lights on,when the brakes are hit and when the 4 way flashers are on. The yellow and dark green are most likely power when the turn signals are activated. I"ll go out there and say that the yellow and dark green have power when the 4 way flashers are on as well. I did trace all this out a long time ago but have since forgotten.If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will chime in.

The wiring diagram for a 72 lists the following:
The brown wire is for tail lights (dim on dual filament), tag light and side marker lights, if you have them. The yellow wire is for drivers side stop/turn (bright on dual filament) The green wire is for passenger side stop/turn (bright on dual filament) The light green wire is for back-up lights. Good Luck!

My neighbor had a problem where both turn signals flashed at the same time. It turned out his ground wire was not grounded.
