Any 90-0 (90 when full, 0 when empty) ohm fuel gauge will work.

Proabably helps if I elaborate,PO had replaced the fuel gauge with a large sunpro tach.Not the way I would have done it but looks pretty good in there.pulled it out to see if I could install a fuel gauge back in but the contacts were removed.So I'm looking for someway to know how much fuel I have,anyone know if at this point it's easier to install a new cluster?Also does it matter that I have dual tanks.Any ideas?How bout what SanitysBane was talking about anyone have a little fuel gauge that could replace the brakelight and would that work?

You could look for an autometer guage, or maybe if you could get lucky, find an one in a junkyard.

Well if autometer makes one that would be great beacause the temp/oil are autometer

.Know where I could get one?Also do you know how hard it would be to hook up,things with more than three wires confuse the hell out of me.Thanks

I've got a factory small fuel gauge for sale. Just hard wire it in by pulling the pins for it out of the cluster harness and running them to the gauge poles.

Only thing you'd have to check for is to see if your cluster has the mounting posts for the gauge. Some of the older ones that had that hole designated for an idiot light did not have the mounting posts.

For the gauge look at summitracing.com or jegs.com I think is only have 3 wires, ground, power, and the wire going to the sender. Just look for a 90-0 ohm gauge, and while your at it, why not repalce the tach and speed too?

I changed out all mine to Autometer gauges. All mine are Pro-Comps and look like this but front mounted. Here's some articles on the mounting of them http://73-87.com/7387garage/garage_interior.htm

Yeah they are them. I mounted mine from the front though.

You can add the aftermarket gauge no problem. The site posted earlier has a description on what everywire goes to in the wire harness. You just cut and splice it with the wires that go with the gauge. Even with dual tanks it's just a couple wires and you're set.
