67 1/2 ton disc brake conversion

Question? Working on a 67 1/2 ton and wanting to convert to disc brakes. I have a 85 1/2 ton doner for the front end. I've read where these are fairly simple swaps with just a couple hole to drill, but found out the crossmember on the 85 is rusted out, everything else looks fine (well I'm goning to replace the ball joints, bushings & ect) . the crossmember on the 67 is good, can I use the 67 crossmember and bolt everything else up to it?
