Wheel and Tire Size - 17X?

I have an 81 pickup, 2 1/2" drop spindles in front and drop hangers and shackles in the rear. I have the parts they are just not installed yet.

I like the looks of the Torque Thrust rims and I'm looking at 17's. If anyone is running these would they mind giving me their wheel and tire combination. A photo would be great if you have any.

Thanks,

Ken

Swervin/Rojo nice trucks and thanks for the replies.

Mike - do you recall of your wheels are 3.75" back spacing? Nice stance to your truck, mines a long box so I don't know if it would look right with that much drop. I'll start with the 2.5/4 and see how it looks.

Thanks Mike!

Grande Rojo,

Do you know what the BS was on the 9.5 wheels, and were there any clearance issues with the 275/60/17's on the rear. Being that my truck is a long box I'm leaning towards a little less drop and 60 series tires. I'm considering 255's on the front.

Thanks,

Ken

5 1/2" bs on the 17x9.5's
no problems rubbing with a 5" drop but when I lowered it 2 more inches it rubbed a little (very little) when I would turn into a steep drive way. I think the only thing that was rubbing was the raised lettering on the tires.
