72 Rear Leaf / 10-bolt question
Hi all!
Will a 1973 & up 10-bolt Truck 1/2 ton axle drop into a 1972 rear leaf spring chassis? Was wondering if the 10-Bolt will line right up to the Truck 12-Bolt rear axle mounting/etc....Thanx!

Spring pad spacing is different.
Shock mounts are different. 10 bolts use a Saginaw S44 u-joint and 12 bolts use a Spicer 1310. 10 bolt rear axles are '81 and up only - prior to that they still used 12 bolts.
