33" fit on '68 k20
on my dads '68 k20 he's redoing will it be possible to fit 16x10s with a 33" sts on it?
It clears the 17.5" and pizza cutters by a mile. If necessary with a ORD Zero Rate work in the front? and wat could we do to make them fit? all the lifts are for 69-up?? |

If I can get 33's under the back of my 2wd C20, you shouldn't have any problem getting 'em under a 4wd. I'm running two 33/12.5/16.5 MudKings on stock rims in the rear and they fit under there OK. I haven't pulled a heavy trailer or hauled a big load yet, so I really can't tell for sure. Right now without anything in the bed there's about 5" of clearance between the tire and wheel-well. My truck has the G50 option HD rear coil springs so it kinda keeps the bed up high.

I had rubbing problems under full stear with 33's on a factory K20. I was running BF Goodrich tires. Some have posted here that they have not had problems. I think that it depends on the tire manufacturer ( 33" does not neccessarily mean that they are), the amount of backspacing, and how much suspension sag you are dealing with. Good luck!

67 2wd short box with original Heavy Duty rear coil springs
15 x 8 GM ralleys with 33 x 12.5 tires on rear without load was fine, with minor load (300lbs) it was a rubber.
