I found the answer - VIN for 1970 GMC...
I called a local wrecking yard, American Auto wreckers, and Roland was nice enough to help me. He did not give me all the designations but he did tell me what it was. Thank you Roland.
...1/2 ton. I am starting to panic because I am supposed to be buying a 1970 GMChevrolet (clone) tomorrow. I will be flying from CA to NE tomorrow morning at 6am to buy it and drive back to CA. The truck has been frame off rebuilt using a GMC frame and Chevrolet tailgate and grill. I would like to know what the truck frame is supposed to be so I don't run into problems registering it in CA. If you have a 1970 GMC please send me the VIN less the last 5 digits. I should be able to figure out what it is with that information. The problem is I don't know what digit identifies the Model Year. Thanks in adavance. C = Chassis - 4x2 E = Engine - V-8 1 = GVW Range - 1/2 ton 34 = Model - C15 S = Model Year - 1970 Z = Assembly Plant - Fremont *****
