Classic Truck Insurance Companies
I'm thinking of changing coverage for my truck to one of those that specialize in classic's. Anyone had experience with these? Ive checked in to Grundy's and Hagerty's and Taylor. Their rates seem quite low compared to my regular company. I know they have restrictions on use. Any info will be appreciated.

I have my insurance with Hagerty and I've been very pleased. Had one claim and they were very prompt. Yes, the rates are considerably cheaper but there are restrictions on use. You also must have another vehicle for daily use and the classic must be garaged. In short, it's cheap insurance if you can live with the restrictions - which I can since mine's not a daily driver.

bLUE72,
Do you have to have it in a garage?. I pay $21 per month for $8000 coverage. If I had a garage I could get a better deal like you. I like your deal better ![]()

I'll get mine through Hagerty's. $122 a year for $14,000 coverage and $50 deductable for anything and Grundy's said they didn't recognise my 72' GMC as a classic so they don't insure them.

I looked a classic insurance for mine a while ago. They were way too restrictive for me. They ask some pretty hard questions when insuring a pickup. I found it has to be a show truck before they would consider it. What would happen if you are not supposed to haul anything in it and you had an accident while using it as a truck?

I'm a long way off from needing insurance like you guys have, so I haven't actually checked in to any policys and their restrictions.
