auto trans linkage?
Hey guys!
How does the linkage for an automatic hook up in these trucks? I tried to use my old 2wd linkage, but the part that should be put into the frame hits the rear front spring hanger. I've got a 355 / TH400 combo in my truck. The TH400 is for a 2wd as I am gonna be running a divorced case, but I don't think that should make any difference...

I also heard that the shift rod is a little longer than the 2wd ones. My guess is because the engine and tranny are moved back a bit in the 4x4's compaired to the 2wd.

Well, I figured out my problem today
Apparantly, the PO of my frame removed the auto trans bracket that bolts to the frame, lol However, I did run into a clearance with the shift rod to the rear hanger. I re-bent the plate on the rod, and it is all good now
