Wanted 1967 Chevy truck Motorhome
Hi all,
Just got the go ahead to start looking for a 1967 Chevy truck/Motorhome. This would be the type that has the opening in the back of the cab to enter the motorhome part. I am looking for one that is running and can be driven home to California as needed. So, if you all could keep your eyes out for any of these that are for sale and let me know, Thanks!!! |

Openroad is the motorhome model that has the "party patio" on the back with the sliding patio door.

Below is a picture of my 1968 C30 Open Road Motorhome. I dont have any better pictures of the outside or inside right now, but it does have the "party patio" (a rear sliding glass door with a fold-down rear deck).
I bought it last year, drove 400 miles to pick it up, then 400 miles home. Long trip with the 5.14 rear gear! It has a 327 4bbl, TH400 AT, and now has a 4.10 gear in the Eaton HO72. Almost brand new tires (heavy bias ply). 28,000 original miles! Factory 157" wheelbase stretched to about 181" by the conversion company. Both the interior of the cab, and of the camper are in very nice condition. A nice gentleman came and looked at it this weekend, and has first shot at buying it. If he decides that he does not want to buy it, then it will be on the "open market" for $2700.

This is a link to pictures of a 67 GMC Open Road that I bought. The camper portion was rotten, so it was removed and donated to my local salvage yard. It was a bit smaller than my 68 Chev, 157" wheelbase.

Here's a 68 GMC, good shape, not a walk through (look at bench seat) in Arizona.

GM72K10, I did see that one. It is very nice, but we are wanting one that is a walkthru. With my little baby boy and my dog, it would make longer travel trips easier (being that wife can get up and do things without me having to pull-over....)
