Paint it gray... same color as the headlight bezels. Trouble with pvc pipe is that it waves in the heat of the sun. You could go to your local hardware and buy some 'electrical thin wall metal pipe'. Then it would at least remain as you bent it.
You can't find a grill at your local bone yard?

Good for you! you are young & have no extra cash! You did it YOURSELF, & its a hell of a lot better than no grille at all. Myself, Id rather have that grill painted black or gray than some of the discusting billet grilles Ive seen in catalogs. Those flame, skull, lightning inserts dont do it for me. Also, if you like it, thats all that matters. Im the king of doing it myself for free, but it usually costs me at least double because Im not happy with it when Im done...corn

I made a blind for my duck boat out of PVC. Looked bad but the ducks didn't seem to mind. I saw a book at the hardware store for making lawn furniture out of PVC and I bet thats the first PVC grill.
16 and no money, man how many of us on the board can saw that we were that way when we were young. Hell, how many of us on the board can still say that.

i think you should add the vertical support on either end to help straighten it, and what I think would be really trick is if you put the pvc cap on each end of the horizontal peices.. that would be kinda cool... heh

iceman7329 I have to give you credit for being creative. Taking the time to put something in your grill to protect your radiator rather than just drive it around exposed shows you are ambitious. From what I have seen most kids your age don't even know how to use tools, much less actually make something with them. I have to agree with the other guys that it might not be pretty, but it does serve a purpose. I would do like plumbcut suggested and add the extra braces. If a can of spray paint is in your budget, I would paint it gray as daveM suggested....

Is it possible to add one more horizontal bar in there to make the space between them slightly smaller?
I think along with the other tips given, a smaller gap between the pipes would look better, as long as you still have enough room for air flow. Edit: Also, when you have the grille out, paint everything behind it black. It will help improve the look a lot.
