Myself I would try some paint thinner or acetone on a rag. You can also use some high grit sand paper to get it off.

Try a little brake fluid on a rag. I've heard that it's supposed to be a very effective paint stripper. And it might even soften up the weatherstripping. Or is that tranny fluid that's supposed to soften the seals? One or the other.

if the weatherstipping is old dont use any solvent on it it can cause the rubber to basically a lack of better words smear black all over everything so if you do that b/c its the easiest tape off the metal panels adjasent to the rubber and the windows to keep thing cleaner

Enamel reducer on a rag works great, and it even softens it up and makes it look new.

Castrol Super Purple (or something like that) will take anything off of anything. I sprayed some on my quarter panel to get some gunk off, and it ate the paint off.
