Yesterday I worked on the 700r4 in the 68. It is still acting a little strange but much better than it was.

Today I got the horn, fuel gage, headlights, and the air conditioner all working on my latest aquisition, the 67 Chevy.

Sweet Andy!

Now be nice so it last longer this time.

I installed a new stereo in my daughter's Bonneville and fixed some lose trim items. Also helped EdB with his 90 GMC and his 84 Mercedes. Saturday Edb and I drove up to meet another board member "Thejoker" and check out some parts for another member. Unfortunately, not too much was done on the 70 because I also had some computer jobs on Saturday.

Test fitted a new hood and changed the oil on "Old Sally" the 72 my youngest daughter named.

I went to HAN Thanks too Blue4x4 for being an awesome host

Had a kick ass time chilling with some board members and other people who arn't part of the board. Even though I got alot of sht for not bringing me ride. It was fun from the time I got there till the time I left.

I drove there at 6 in the morning saturday and left around 1:30-2am sunday morning and got home at 5:11. So i was up for almost 24 hours. The ride back was a trip in itself.

Moved some of my heavy truck driveline parts around, and attempted (unsuccessfully) to release the stuck brakes on the GMC.

Other than that, I went swimming a little and enjoyed the 90+ weather with close to 100% humidity. Ahh, I love Ohio.

Dropped the engine, trans ans transfer case out of a 77 4x4 burb. Stipped it of any useful parts and loaded it on the trailer so it can go to the crusher!

Also found a unique beauty ring with 2 valve stem holes punched into it. Now I am all confused because I don't know which one to use!?!?

Alexis it was great meeting you and the other at the BBQ. Scott thank you for putting on the BBQ and a special thanks for the stainless. I will proudly recycle it from a Garage Anchor and put it to its proper use. To all the rest of you, regretfully I won't put real names with user names but I will recognize you njext time.
Rich (chickenwing) and I went to Summit after we left Blue4x4's home. It was Rich's fir time at Summit. Yes we did run into MasterBeavis and others there. Mister Summit had to be as happy as we were. Rich and I went to Sparks following Summit and although I had been there many times before I was impressed with the HUGE crowd. We shared dinner, walked the cruise and Rich bolted for Rio Linda and I went to the hotel, beer, cars, room, tv, sleep. A long day.
All was fun and I am looking forward to next year when the weather will be dryer and the beer colder. Speaking of beer, Blue4x4 you need to post a picture of your killer BBQ table.

Andy...was that a burnout in the Longhorn? KEWL! Did I miss the fix on the engine...I knew you were struggling with it.

I got my Longhorn running and adjusted the carb, fixed all the lights and test fit an original tire but already posted that. Here it is again....

I spent all day shaving all the trim holes in Orence1's ride, welding in a patch panel in the roof while he pulled some dents from cab corner and drivers door on the stepside. It was a great day trading work we both needed to get done.

Well, I put power steering on the 68, pain in the but to get the ps bracket, but i got it....got the mean green c10 at about 80% complete, just waiting on the exhaust to come in and the fuel lines, then she should be running...going to be a great weekend coming up..got to send back the wrong turn signal light....

Yeah, got it in and running....nuff power that when i naild the throttle, the old 425 that was in the bed strapped to a tire rolled over and knocked the tailgate open (which as been stuck for a year now) and almost ended up on the pavement.
Now if only the friggen dipstick would go in all the way...or if the rear main seal that i installed last night wasn't spraing all over the place.

Andy...I know what you mean. I got the Longhorn running and drove around the block a few times and thought I was done with it for a bit until I noticed the it needed power steering fluid for the second time! It is leaking from somewhere. I will check the fittings but it looks like rebuild!

Changed the fuel pump in the 72 GMC. Had it done in 20 minutes. Now it runs. Lets see 20 minutes of work and 10 hours laying flat on my back with a heating pad. That seems like a good ratio.
Stillookn the 1/2 ton is looking better all the time.

Ready to watch NASCAR race, saw online ad for 68 parts truck, parts run windshield I wanted had a crack in it owner didn't know about, ended up with bumper, right frt fender/inner fender (typ rust), radiator support (typ rust too), door handel, and vent window, sweatin in Alabama heat, but thought $100 was good deal for all. Hmmm, how can I reserve Lft fender for 68 I have my eye on...... Can you believe both cabs he had were rusted inside above windshield, same as mine is? Southern rust free trucks my a$$...LOL

Started priming and blocking my doors. Will finish the door jams today and hang the doors for the umpteenth time. Primed & prepped the radiator support and several small pieces. Talked to 55454 on the phone a couple of times and found the pieces I need for the overslung air cleaner...Thanks Tommy. Hoping to shoot some color this Fall.

Fixed beer can chicken on the grill for the first time. I think this is now my favorite way to have chicken.

Wired up the third brake light and cargo light, installed head lights, color sanded and polished the passenger bed side, color sanded and polished the hood and installed, installed Firebird side marker lights and prepared A/C hoses for crimping this week.

Made lots of phone calls and drove all over the place looking for the parts I need or want. I think I got everything lined up. watched daughter riding a pony at her birthday party listened to screaming kids all day. Not allowed to smoke around them so had to sneek off to the garage and look at all the work I could have done this week end.

I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm
